“Awe: Not Just For Religion Anymore.”
Quinn will introduce us to research that demonstrates how the emotion of awe is processed in the brain, the co-opting of awe by religion, and how secular people can bring more awe into their lives.
Quinn earned her PhD in social psychology, with post-graduate work in clinical psychology. She taught college courses for many years, then transitioned to being a psychotherapist in private practice and in medical settings where her work focuses on helping those with health condition.
