A fun SAN night out viewing the cosmos!!

Curious about what some of those dots in the sky are?.. The Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society (BSAS) is having a Public Star Party at Bells Bend Outdoor Center on Saturday March 25th, 2023, 8:00 – 10:00 pm!

Several people bring their telescopes (one member brings his 20″ diameter scope!) for everyone to check out and look through, and experts are on hand to answer questions. If the weather is good, usually get to see some pretty good views of several planets, moon if it’s up, and even a galaxy/nebula or two. Everyone is invited, kids are welcome/encouraged!

If you’ve never been to a star party, it’s a lot of fun, especially for people and kids seeing things through a telescope for the first time. It’s also a great opportunity to meet a lot of science-minded folk!
