Where are they? What do they do? What makes them special?
We need to know them, so our young girls have someone to look to as role models. Research suggests when students have someone to look to that resembles their gender or ethnic background, they develop a stronger scientific identity which is crucial to persistence to go on to pursuing similar careers. Let’s look at some of these women, past and present.
